Thanks for the podcast. As a beginning knitter I do need help finding the right reference material. With that said I have read EZ and don't seem to understand her. So maybe I need to try Barbara Walker. Also I have a request. I've tried knitting socks and have issues with picking up stitches after turning the heel can you provide a tutorial or lead me to a good video tutorial. I need to see the action not just read the words. Thanks
I think I am going to have to try to do a short video on that. What I can say is that when I make socks, I slip the first stitch on every row on the heel flap. That way you only pick up stitches through those elongated stitches. The other thing I might suggest is to use a crochet hook to pick up a stitch and then slip the stitch onto the knitting needle. The hook makes it alot easier.
